Facial Treatments

The nonsurgical rejuvenation and beautification of the face are becoming more frequent. Injectable Hyaluronic can reshape the jawline, lift soft tissues, and improve facial proportions, effectively improving the appearance of the area. It is paramount to understand facial anatomy and perform a good facial assessment to propose a proper aesthetic treatment plan. At Facial Dental Excellence, the aesthetic goal of the rejuvenation approach is to redefine the mandibular angle and line. In all patients, beautification can be achieved through correction of constitutional deficit or enhancement of the contour of the face, improving the facial shape. It is very important to possess knowledge of facial anatomy and the aging process to deliver effective, safe results and achieve the patient's desire.

Types of Facial Treatments

BOTOX

Botox is an injectable treatment that temporarily reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It works by relaxing the facial muscles, preventing you from making the lines and wrinkles with facial expressions. Botox is one of the most popular injectable treatments because it can provide noticeable results without surgery or downtime.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are another common type of injectable treatment for patients. They are composed of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid that is injected directly into the skin to help fill in areas of wrinkles, plump thin lips, or enhance facial contours.

Chemical Peels

Chemical face peels are a popular treatment used to rejuvenate the skin. This type of peel removes dead skin cells, revealing a younger-looking appearance. The outer layer of skin is removed, revealing a new layer of skin. Your skin will feel softer and appear smoother following the treatment.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Facial skin resurfacing can diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while reducing the appearance of age spots, acne, and other common skin issues. Laser skin resurfacing is a quick and effective way to achieve younger-looking skin.

During laser skin resurfacing, a plastic surgeon will use a handheld device to deliver short pulses of laser light over the skin’s surface. This controlled light energy will damage skin cells, causing them to peel away. Over time, new, healthier skin cells will replace the damaged cells.

Laser skin resurfacing can address wrinkles, fine lines, rough skin, pigment problems, and acne scars. It’s not a good idea for darker skin tones, as the procedure can cause discoloration.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that acts as a lubricant and cushion for the joints. As we age, our bodies produce less of this acid, which causes our skin to lose moisture and become dehydrated. As a result, the skin becomes thin and wrinkled. Some over-the-counter products, such as creams and serums, contain hyaluronic acid to help replenish the natural levels of hyaluronic acid in the body. In addition, some dentists offer topical gels or solutions that can be applied to specific areas of the face as an injection to provide long-lasting hydration.

This deep level of skin hydration not only provides immediate relief from fine lines and wrinkles but also gives the skin more elasticity and fullness for a more youthful appearance. The effects can last up to six months or longer, depending on the product and the patient’s lifestyle.

PDO (Polydioxanone) Threads

PDO threads are made of polydioxanone, which is a form of plastic often used in surgery because it creates little scar tissue during the healing process. This material also dissolves after about six months, which is well within the typical lifespan of a thread lift procedure. Compared to other types of metallic or non-absorbable materials which may be used in a thread lift, PDO is one of the safest and most biocompatible materials for lifting and rejuvenating facial skin.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy is a type of non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses ultrasound energy to tighten and lift skin. While you’re relaxing and enjoying an “ultrasound facial,” we’re using focused ultrasound technology to stimulate your body’s creation of new collagen deep within the skin without disrupting the surface layer. The treatment area will be numbed prior to the procedure, and there may be slight redness to the skin afterward, but there aren’t any other side effects to worry about. You can also use our skincare products at home to help achieve and maintain the best results possible from your treatments.
